“El ron del murcielago” – the rum of the bat. The founders of Bacardi were inspired by a colony of fruit bats found hanging in the rafters of the distillery when it was purchased in 1862.

Each batch is made from a special selection of barrel-aged reserve rums, ranging from 8 to 9 years old and due to being shaped using a secret blend of charcoals.

The most distinctive flavour is a pronounced dried stone-fruit note, specifically prune with some hints of black cherry.
