WHISKEY SOUR DAY
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SOUR!
The sour is a fresh and balanced cocktail that works brilliantly across almost every spirit category. This month, we will focus on the Whiskey Sour, which includes a wee Irish twist...

25TH OF AUGUST... HOLD THE DATE
Throughout the world’s best bars you will find bartenders who all have their own way of making what they feel is the very best version of a Sour. Some will add egg whites, others will add dashes of obscure cocktail bitters and some will float port wines and sherry across the tops of their Sours. So as a drinks style, the Sour offers up plenty of room for experimentation and exploration.
This month we will stick to whiskey, as the 25th of August is International Whiskey Sour Day. A day that calls for a celebration of a fairly simple, yet delicious mix of whisky, lemon juice and sugar.
As with all cocktails you can add some bells and whistles, but keeping things simple is no bad thing when making cocktails at home.
BUSHMILLS IS THE WORLD'S OLDEST LICENSED WHISKEY DISTILLERY.
Bushmills is home to the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery. Official records stretch back to 1608, when the area was granted its license to distil. Over 400 years later, whiskey is still being made in Bushmills, thanks to experience and craft passed down from generation to generation.
